John 2 tells us the story of Jesus's first sign at the wedding feast at Cana. We all know the story, Jesus went to a wedding with his mother and his disciples. They ran out of wine. What an embarrassment! Just like a mom who knew Her Son well, she just said, "they have no wine". They didn't have a big conversation, because Jesus knew his mother and Mary knew her son. Verses 4-5, "and Jesus said to her, Woman,what does that have to do with me? My hour has not yet come." his mother said to the servants, "Do whatever He tells you". Remember my earlier blog, Mary treasured things in her heart? She knew better than anyone all the miracles that lead up to his birth and early life. How did she know he could somehow help their family friends out of humiliation? As believers, do we know Jesus? Do we know what to ask? Knowing Jesus and remembering things in our hearts should help our faith to ask. We know what Mary knew, her son was from God and He loves us, we are His family, just ask.
